Getting Involved!

I'm sure you've heard it before. Whenever you tell someone that you attend an online school, they immediately believe the misconception that you don't socialize with your classmates. You just sit around in your PJs, playing video games all day and the only people you talk to are your family members or pets. And while they might not be entirely wrong about our clothing choices during the school week, one stereotype that needs to be seriously debunked is the idea that students of online schools don't have equal social opportunities as students in brick-and-mortar schools.

There are so many ways for you to get involved in WAVA High School. You can become a Regional Representative and help to plan face-to-face events in your area. Are there just never any events in your area? Become a rep and unite the students around you who are feeling the same isolation.

Leading a club is a great way to find students with the same hobbies and interests as you.

You can become a homeroom rep and organize fun games and activities to help students in your homeroom class connect and get to know each other better.

Do you love writing? Acting? Every month the ASB creates a new skit. You can be a part of the script-writing process and even act out a part in one of our videos.

Take our survey to let us know how you would like to get involved.

You can get in contact with your peers through our WAVA Student Directory. Check your email for more information on how to put yourself on the map and find your friends.
